Éminence Organic Skincare: Introducing Bakuchiol + Niacinamide Collection

Introducing: Éminence's Radiant Protection SPF 30 Fluid & Bakuchiol + Niacinamide Moisturizer

Skincare routines often need to adapt and change with the seasons. As the climate shifts from the scorching heat of summer to the chilly embrace of winter, our skin's requirements change significantly. In the warmer months, lightweight hydrating products are crucial to combat sweat-induced breakouts. Conversely, colder seasons demand richer, more nourishing formulations to combat the drying effects of indoor heating and harsh winds, preventing moisture loss and maintaining a healthy skin barrier. Remember, wear SPF year-round to protect your skin from UV damage.

What Is Bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is an extract derived from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant, which has been used in Indian Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines for hundreds of years to help heal, calm and soothe the skin, due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties - AND, it mimics conventional retinol in a number of ways.

Conventional retinol is a form of Vitamin A that helps to unclog pores, exfoliates skin and increases collagen production, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and give skin a fresh, plump appearance, among many other benefits. It’s a powerful and effective ingredient, which can unfortunately be harsh for those with sensitive skin. Side effects such as peeling, redness, itching, burning and dry skin are common - and while these side effects are temporary, those who have more sensitive skin should stay away to avoid discomfort. Clinical retinol should be used exclusively at night; any sun exposure after retinol application can cause burns and other skin irritation.

Introducing, a natural retinol alternative: bakuchiol. This retinol alternative includes all the benefits of your typical retinol without the negative side effects. Not only does this plant extract reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, refine skin texture and even out skin tone in a gentle yet effective way, it can be used day and night, without the peeling and redness associated with conventional retinol.

What Is Niacinamide?

Niacinamide is a topical version of Vitamin B3. Used as an active ingredient in many products, this water-soluble vitamin has a number of functions including helping to lock in hydration, minimizing the look of large pores, improving uneven skin tone, softening the appearance of fine lines, brightening skin, regulating oil production, strengthening a weak barrier and boosting cell-building proteins in the skin.

Bakuchiol and niacinamide are a dynamic duo — and they're even stronger and more effective when used together.

Help protect skin from the harsh effects of the sun while smoothing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. With a hydrating, nourishing feel and dewy finish, this SPF keeps skin looking ageless while offering broad spectrum SPF 30 protection for combination to dry skin.

Restore skin’s natural hydration with this gel-cream moisturizer, formulated with the unique combination of retinol alternative bakuchiol and niacinamide. This pairing smooths wrinkles while visibly firming skin, minimizing large pores and uneven texture, with no visible irritation.
