COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS

We have missed you so much!

Here at Skintuition, we have developed a reopening plan that prioritizes the safety of our team and clients,

and is based on guidelines set forth by the CDC, the State of Michigan, and the Michigan Association of Beauty Professionals.

We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable visiting our spa!

We're taking the following steps to ensure that we're operating in a safe manner for our clients and team members:

UPDATE (12/9/20):

Thank you for your support of Skintuition during this difficult year! We appreciate each and every one of our amazing clients. 
With the most recent restrictions given by Governor Whitmer and MDHHS in the latest executive order, we are allowed to stay open, but we cannot allow our clients to remove their face masks during treatment. This order is in effect from November 18th through January 15th (for now).

During this time frame, we are required to discontinue services around the mouth and nose area, since mask removal would be required. We are able to continue to offer facials, with the addition of our new disposable spa face masks that stick on to the face. These masks are designed for facial services, covering just the nose and mouth area. This allows us to still be able to treat the majority of the face! Our estheticians will continue to wear N95 masks and face shields during all facial services, as we have been doing ever since we reopened back in June.

We will also continue to offer all body waxing (everything except nostrils, upper and lower lip), airbrush tans (no spraying the face, but we will give you a kit to do your own face at home), brow waxing, brow tinting, lash tinting, & lash lifts.

As always, Skintuition is committed to providing a safe and sanitary space for our clients. We are grateful to have your trust with your skin, and we are grateful for all of our clients that have continued to support us. Please continue to shop small & support local businesses during this time.

• All clients will be required to wear a face covering. If you forget one, we can supply one for you.

• All Team Members will be wearing face masks while inside our spa and serving clients.

• All clients will be required to sanitize their hands and phone upon entry, and then again to wash their hands with soap and water before any service.

• All Team Members will be washing their hands before and after each service and wearing disposable gloves during every service.

• We are using disposable everything, with the exception of linens that will be laundered with bleach & hot water after each client use, and implements/equipment that will be sanitized with EPA registered, hospital grade disinfectants.

• Our Front Desk Team Members will be disinfecting and sanitizing all reception area touch points throughout the spa after client contact and every hour.

• All Team Members will have their temperatures checked at the start of each of their shifts with a non-contact digital thermometer, in addition to completing a daily health questionnaire.

• Prior to each appointment, you will receive a health questionnaire to ensure you don't have any symptoms associated with COVID-19. Please help us keep everyone safe by completing the questionnaire. If you have symptoms, you must cancel your appointment.

• Our Front Desk Team will check your temperature with a non-contact digital thermometer when you arrive. If you have a temperature above 100.3°F, we must cancel your appointment.

• All services will be by appointment only. At this time we are not accepting walk-in appointments. You are welcome to call or use our online booking for last minute availability.

• Please arrive for your appointment alone, as we are limited on the number of people allowed in the spa at any given time. We cannot allow you to bring your children or any guests at all with you to your appointment at this time. Minors with an appointment can be accompanied by one adult if requested. 

• We have two separate waiting areas, and therefore can only have two clients waiting at a time in the spa. If you arrive to your appointment and there are already two clients waiting in the building, we will check you in for your appointment and ask that you return to your car or wait outside the building. We will notify you when we are ready to take you back.

• We will have social distancing dots on the floor in the reception area so you are able to respect the social distance guidelines.

• At this time, we will not be serving any food. Filtered water is available upon request.

• Although we love hugs and handshakes, we will be avoiding that for the time being.

• For your convenience, our products will be available for online purchase with shipping and in-store pickup options. You may also continue to purchase products in-store.

• We will not be accepting returns on any products at this time, without exception.

• We will gladly accept both cash and credit card as forms of payment. We do not accept checks.
